CFTC is a federally registered not-for-profit corporation and is extra provincially registered in British Columbia. CFTC is governed by a dedicated Board of Directors (generally 10 – 12) drawn from the community-at-large and representing a wide range of interests including banking, labour, business, professional, and government services. Many have economic sector connections and represent the geographic area of our region including Clearwater, Barriere, Chase and Kamloops to ensure that the needs of our communities are met.

Additionally, 3 subcommittees are accountable to the Board of Directors mandated to participate in the delivery of specific programs of the Corporation. The Board appoints these committees and each of them is composed of a number of volunteers drawn from and representing the community-at-large. The three committees are:
The Board is the chief governing body of the Corporation for all policy and operations decisions. It is the final authority on all matters relating to the business of the Corporation and is accountable to its funding agencies and the community of Thompson Country.
The Board meets monthly, with the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in September and the public is welcome. The AGM is held to elect the Board, Executive Committee and approve the previous fiscal year’s Financial Statments
The Executive Committee is charged with overseeing the Corporation’s daily activities undertaken by the Chief Executive Officer.
