CFTC provides entrepreneurs with small business loans where traditional financial institutions are unable to help. Loans are available for a new business start-up, business expansion, stabilizing an existing business or to purchase a business. A loans committee comprised of community volunteers is involved with the loan review process. This insures community input on loan approvals.

In order to apply, you need to have drawn up a proper business plan and you also need to fill in an official application form. In addition, one website has a good self assessment tool that you can use to gauge your own entrepreneurial spirit. The Entrepreneurs with Disabilities Program offers business loans to people with disabilities who are interested in starting or growing their own business. Loans are available to entrepreneurs with a viable business idea who have a disability or ongoing health condition and meet CFTC loan criteria. Download the loan application form above.
The Western Young Entrepreneurs Program offers business loans to youth ages 18 – 34 who are interested in starting or growing their own business that meet CFTC loan criteria. Download the loan application form above.
